Talent Development. How do you decide?

Good evening! It's a great evening her in the cold frozen North, but we are keeping our ears on!;P
I know there are several out there with kids who have "Talents and Passions" at a very young age. ( Those quotation marks are for my bud, Cher Mere...LOL)
Here's the dilemma:
Grace has been exhibiting some pretty interesting abilities in the areas of both acting and art lately, and we're kind of stuck on how to proceed. The teeny tiny snafu is that she hasn't really asked to pursue either of these in depth on her own. We've "suggested" that she attend some fun classes for acting and musical theater.I was told at a recent homeschool activity by pretty much everyone there that Grace has an awesome "natural ability" for acting and that we really should "get her into theater". I even took her to a trial class the other day, and she, quite literally, stopped the show. The people who run the classes volunteered to give her a scholarship to attend, if we couldn't afford it. We'll be attending. She enjoyed herself immensely.
She also has been really expressing herself through her drawing again, and this time she wowed us with a drawing in pastels. Anyone familiar with art knows that oil pastels are notoriously hard to work with.. Somehow, she managed to come up with a face like the cover of one of her books:

She's also been drawing cartoons again, but really neat ones. I am thinking she need to take a cartooning class at a local art studio, but I'm afraid it will change what she's doing.

Advice, please?

The Ranch kitchen would be outdoor, shabby but stylish. The flat would have cool lighting effects and everything would have a place. Nothing would actually say "kitchen about the room except the sink and cooking areas.

Describe your dream living area
High Desert, wide open spaces with the Ranch scenario.
Ile de la Cite, in Paris and on the hill near the University in Edinburgh.

Describe your ideal bedroom.
Dark, heavy wood and lots of windows.
A large suite with a walk-in bathtub made of marble.

What else would be in your dream home?
A stable at the ranch and an indoor garden at the flat.

If money were no object what would be your ideal homeschooling style?
Travel around the world at different times of year.

What is your dream hairstyle?
I don't really have one;)

What is your ideal fashion style?
I agree that think would be nice! :P
What name do you wish you had been called?
I like my name.

What would your ideal day be like?
Waking up in the morning, eating breakfast in the ship's dining room, going on an outing with the family on shore, taking a snorkel with the family after lunch, sit on the balcony as the sun goes down, get dressed for dinner and watch a sweet show, make love (quitely--we're in a stateroom) and fall blissfully asleep as the moonlight streams in the window.

What is your ideal weather?
Sunny, but some shade trees to sit under and a nice breeze.

What is your ideal holiday?
Travel to foreign countries...doesn't matter which.

What would you really like your weblog to look like?

This , I guess!

My Personality type

Ok. I did the test last night, and I got teh same results I got a while back when I took this test...

INFJ - The "Confidant"
Myers-Briggs Personality Types (Free Test)
INFJs, making up an estimated 1% of all people, are the most rare type (males even more so). They are introspective, caring, sensitive, gentle and complex people that strive for peace and derive satisfaction from helping others. INFJs are highly intuitive, empathetic and dedicated listeners. These traits tend to act as a "tell me what's wrong" sign on their forehead, hence the nicknames Confidant, Counselor or Empath. INFJs are intensely private and deeply committed to their beliefs.

I am pretty sure this is right on the money for me. I appear as a very outgoing person, and I am, but I treasure solitude. I guess that's why I came up "I".
I wouldn't even begin to know how to fill this out for Grace, and I doubt she'd answer the questions with enough clarity to produce a real sample of her personality. ;)

Grace's Imaginings

Carl and I were playing an online game with each other teh other night, and Grace was drawing in the kitchen, when suddenly we heard "Moo Ha Ha!" in the lowest tones that Grace is capable of producing, given she is 6. Puzzled, we went to see what she was drawing...
It turned out to be a line drawing of a "Canabalistic Hamburger". *Blink, Blink*
It was pretty cute, actually. He's holding up a sign with both hands (yes, cannabalistic hamburgers have HANDS...how else did they make that "intellectual leap") that says "Moo Ha Ha". It really reminds us of a Far Side, but she needs little tiny cows in it or something! ;)

Back to the old antics...

Grace is at it again. She didn' go to sleep until 11:30 many nights this week, despite being up early. There was a mountain of books next to her bed when I finally walked in and pulled the plug on the light;) I suppose this too shall pass...again. It was so nice on vacation, beause she'd go to bed most nights, although there were even a few there that she sayed up until MN, despite the TWO HOUR DIFFERENCE in time.
In other news, we are embarking on some home improvement stuff, and Grace is loving her check sheets , field trips and the new LA approach. SHe's doing copy work, vocab study and free writing/quizzes based upon "Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH" this month. :)

Leaving on a Jet Plane...

We go home today. I am not sure where the time went, but I feel ready to conquer the many tasks we have until Summer now. We'll be back again, here at Grandma's, before long!
See you all soon! (Both our at home friends and our away friends! )

Picture Post

Ok. I couldn't resist!!!
I finally got my small smattering of holiday pictures to upload and there they are! Grace asked for a HUGE stuffed cheetah for Christmas, along with some webkinz, Marzipan and some other small items. She was absolutely THRILLED with her cheetah, "Pantilaimon" , who also doubles as her Daemon...
The other photos are of a Navajo dance troupe from New Mexico that we saw at a local museum, Carl and Grandpa in their Jammies, Grace and Grandma, Grace holding and reading a book illustrated by Grandma, called "PJ Elf" and the famous "hole in one" picture! Also, Grace and her cousin are ichatting in one picture, drawing pictures for one another. Grace's two advent calendars are also pictured, one is a chocholate version in front of the tree, and the other is a stocking hanging from our friend, the sculpture named "Mo"! Finally, Grace is also pictured trying to summon up her courage to jump off that diving board!! You'll get there, Gracie!!
