We're feeling a little "Rusty"...

"Rusty" is actually the name of our new puppy:) After about 6 months of wondering and thinking, we have adopted! He's only 10lbs and a chihuahua/papillon mix, with a very shy personality. Grace fell in love looking at dog profiles on the internet, and we went to visit him. He's wonderful, and she's wonderful with him. We pick him up this week sometime, but his 'other" mommy needs to set up the time:) We are all so very happy!!!Pictures of the little guy to follow. He's way cuter in person than the internet picture led us to believe... He has one ear that flops over;)

Yay! I am so happy for you all.

Our little Charlotte has added so many good things to our lives. I am sure Rusty will be a blessing for you all.

I can't wait to see pictures.

p.s. Charlotte is only 9lbs. Small dogs are fun!

I can't wait to hear how the cats take it. He'll be so happy to have a good home like yours.

I agree that this will be a HUGE blessing:) We need to have a little guy to dote on! He's sweet!
I think he'll be great with the cats! e doesn't bark and is afraid of his own shadow...

Dear Grace, It will be lovely to have a new dog. But when your dog gets more attention than the cats, do you think your cats will scowl?
And what will you do when you pay more attention to the two cats, maybe that puppy likes attention, well at least my dog does. Watch out! He may scowl!

First of all, I want to talk with you about Chihuahuas. I have been reading a book called Pedigree Points. I read that a Chihuahua is very, “saucy and bold”. But a Papillon has a nicer personality like a Poodle, and because your dog is a little mix of each, you’ll probably have a mix of sweet personality, and sprightly personality. From what you, say I think your dog has a nice personality and he will be a great dog for your home and will suit you.

And one more thing, I calculated that your Papillon and Chihuhaua mix’s average weight would be 7.5 pounds and your dog is ten pounds, that`s more than the average weight! And since my toy poodle weighs five pounds, your dog weighs five pounds more than mine!

Oh, and did you know Papillon means butterfly in French?

I would love to see a picture of your new dog on your mom's blog. Oh, is your dog the color of rust?
