We've had quite a week, here at the Secret House.There really wasn' t even time for pictures! Grace has been absolutely in her element, immersed in nature, and having a wonderful time. We've been out places every day this week and traditional school is on hold for her CAT testing. ( snort!) We really should have ordered two grade levels up from what we got, but I suppose this is simply to satisfy a requirement for the state, so I really don't care. :) Carl and I have agreed to test her on a Woodcock Johnson at the end of next year, by a third party, so we can get an idea of her out-of-level abilities. She will have been taking EPGY Math for a year then as well as a JHU Writing course. We are sure her reading ability is far above grade level, so we aren't so interested in that.
This week:
We walked the dog about 30 times
Grace and friends climbed trees multiple times
We went to the sea shore
Grace made a catapult
Grace did boat experiments in the creek near out house
We helped out some friends
We planted a butterfly garden
Grace finished her CAT test
We all started new books
Grace had a WONDERFUL piano lesson! ( she's become quite the sight-reader! Even her teacher and I were surprised! )
Grace gave a report on the Bronx Botanical Garden and Park for History Club
Grace and her girl friend played elves for 8 hours straight
Grace and another friend played for 5 hours straight;)
We all began new books
Grace went to Drama/Musical Theater class and had a great time
We all watched Indiana Jones together
Whew! What a week!!

That's cool. We haven't been home much either. We are taking advantage of the weather.
my goodness. i knew you all were busy but you really put it into perspective this week. I would have enjoyed seeing her and her friend play elves. Sounds like a wonderful week.
What a week! Grace sure knows how to have fun.

LOL! You two are correct;) She *does* no how to have fun...AND how to induce heart attacks in well-meaning friends and family! Right Mariposa?;)
