Phew! What a couple of weeks!

I am having an absolutely LOVELY day today, barring the fact that Grace has a bit of poison ivy. :) It was only a matter of time, on that account...
Since Mother's Day, we have been out of the house nearly every single day. Yikes!
It has been pretty fun, but Grace and I are really having a nice and relaxing time today, bumming around the house.
The one day we did stay home, we watched the move "Miss Potter" , about Beatrix Potter's life, and decided to paint our own characters! It was a GREAT day.
Grace took her CAT test for the end of the year ad maxed out the results. Duh. I knew I should have tested her further up. Live and learn.
She had her drama performance, which went SWIMMINGLY! She really does enjoy being up on stage.
We attended science class on electricity, a workshop on using improv in education, piano twice, a birthday party that lasted about 18 hours ( sleepover), a rocketry workshop, complete with launch, a sheep-sheering demonstration, a trip to the park, several play dates and a very sad funeral. Phew!
We also saw the movie "Prince Caspian", which we all agreed was wonderful, even WITH the changes from the story.
Grace went out to play the other night, and promptly got herself a case of poison ivy:) luckily it is a mild case...
Hugs,
Forte

Poor Grace, I hope she is not too itchy.

Your days seem so marvellous.

Poison ivy is no fun. I get it too. Miss Potter does look like a good movie. Especially since Faith loves those stories. I would love to learn more about her. Glad you all are having a good time there in the secret house.

I just love the porch with the trees in the background. It looks like a great spot to spend time.

How awful that she has poison ivy. I hope she is better soon.

The rocket class sounds like it was really neat.

And congratulations to Grace on her performance!

Wow! There are so many opportunities in your area!

I hope Grace gets over her poison ivy soon.

Oh, how terrible! Growing up, I had to deal more with cactus than with poison ivy, but either way, it's no fun. Calamine lotion, anyone?
