Walking with a friend in paradise...
We have had a busy and exciting week, here at the Secret House. Grace and I began our year's studies in earnest. Carl is back to the grindsone at work. I had to have emergency oral surgery...
Yes. It has been exciting around here! Now that I am out of crushing pain, I have a bit more time to update my blog! I have to admit that this week has been an eye-opener in all ways. For instance, I never knew that a tooth that already had a root canal could go bad and require surgery that is EVEN MORE invasisve. I also underestimated Grace's drawing ability, mathematics ability, writing ability and reading capability! What's new? Carl, I have found, has a talent for sitting and doing nothing in a waiting room for long periods of time;) And I have also found that AZ Gram and Prince Grampy still get REALLY worried when I have a physical problem:) The world spins on!!
We have a busy and fun Fall coming up, and I sincerely hope it is everything it promises to be. Grace's Desk is in a different orientation in our front room, and she is really using it well! I have plenty of manipulative stuff out again, along with the more advanced curriculum materials. It seems to be going very well! She is reading whatever strikes her fancy, drawing like a fiend and engaging in her own problem solving and projects! It is kind of like a "Grace Renaissance"! LOL
How is everyone else doing? I'd LOVE to hear!!
Oh! Kate! I have stuff for P, but due to our week, haven't been able to send. I'll get it out soon!

So sorry about your tooth!!
Grace Renaissance sounds really exciting!
I hope your mouth feels better soon :-( Lovely pictures, your dear girl is growing up so fast!
I hope you are feeling better now.
Her studies sound really cool and her mushrooms are darling.
Those drawings and paintings sure run in the family don't they. Between our two families we have atleast seven people who are wonderful at art. Grace gets hers from Carl and AZ, Faith gets hers from Pa Pa because of the painting she loves. I'm excited to hear what you all are working on for the coming year. Talk to you soon. Hope you are feeling better. Tooth pain is the pits :-(
Oh my goodness, don't worry about it..you are so sweet!
We both hope you feel better soon.
We L-O-V-E Grace's drawings!
((hugs))
