Twas the Night Before Christmas...

The Secret House Family wishes everyone a healthy, happy,  and wondrous holiday season.
To our family and close friends, we give our love and lots of hugs and kisses across the miles. We will see you soon! Grace has been having a ball here and she's very happy to report that Santa has an actual chimney to come down this year.
Today, we had a lovely lunch with some good friends, Grace had a playdate with her buddy, and we all had fun this evening with wrapping and listening to carols.  Milk and cookies were lain out for the big man, pictures were taken and Grace was shuffled  off to bed...no doubt she is dreaming of the marzipan Santa will bring her in her stocking.  It is such a lovey thing to be a child.
Tomorrow, we will have sweet rolls for breakfast, open gifts and have some good friends over for Turkey dinner. Grace specially requested the meal.  I must agree it sounds rather festive and very "Christmas Carol" to have a big turkey for Christmas!  Rusty will just be happy to get some, in any case and I am sure it will be great fun!  We even got some "Christmas Crackers" for the event!
From all of us here, to all of you out there, as the old song goes:
"Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas..."

Forte, Carl, Grace, Rusty and Lily

Beautiful. Those are really nice photos with the Grace and the dog. She really loves marzipan and it is great that it is a tradition now. That is an involved Christmas dinner, but it should be delicious.

We usually have enchiladas made from leftover chicken that Tim roasts two days before Christmas. On Christmas Eve we don't eat meat we do the Slavic traditional meal on my side.

That was not suppose to have "the before Grace and I responded like it didn't happen. LOL I should not be up, but I got to get ready to take Ami to a lesson. I did not sleep well last night or the night before, but hubby is driving.
