We've been to visit friends at Fire Island, a lovely enclave nearby, as well as hung out at the state beaches. For 4th of July, we visited a local living history museum (outdoor town) and Grace dressed up for the occasion!

Current Events at the Secret House
It has gone from a busy year to a busy summer, here at the Secret House! Grace is busy learning Ju Justsu, a defensive Martial Art form and having lots of fun in the sun! She's joined the library reading program again, which she loves! She's still doing her math, of her own accord , and having a ball. She's been watching the wildlife, wading in the ocean, hanging out with friends and going to bed late! Her Sea Camp begins next week and then she has "Survivor" camp for a week.

Ooh, Rose would love to do a Survivor camp!
Very cute photo.
And I love the link "everyone is gifted" in your sidebar.
Gosh, she looks adorable. It sounds like she is having a wonderful summer. It is so nice to be near the beach.
Thanks Patience! I really think MCT says it like he's got a set. :)
Mariposa,
She IS having a nice summer so far! Thanks!
Ahhhhhh......the best is yet to come!
Glad to hear everyone is having a good summer. Wonderful picture. I love how you always change the color for the era it represents.
You know we thought you were in Gettysburyg, not Fire Island, and we fondly said to Ami who wishes she was with Grace to celebrate the 4th, "Grace is probably participating in an reenactment." And Ami said, " I wonder if there was someone like Molly Pitcher at Valley Forge on the battlefield during that time, she could play that part." So then we read about Clara Barton & the Red Cross.
What is the survivor camp? That sounds really interesting!!
Awesome picture!
Your summer sounds wonderful!!
