Back to Regularly Scheduled Programming!

So. We are homeschooling! This will continue at least through Elementary, if not 8th grade. Of course, we have no idea when those years will end and High School stuff will begin! I feel very empowered now, not only about our decisions, but about our lives. Onward! Engage!
So now the new challenge becomes finding a company that will work with me to completely individualize Grace's school, with her personality and learning style in mind. I do that to a point already, but I'd love the stability of an accredited organization that will present us with a "diploma" at the end. I may feel differently later, but right now it seems like a good idea.
So we are back to it ! Activities abound, and the sky's the limit!

Glad to hear it. I'm sure that she will like that anyways. Plus, you have a better knowledge of what she needs to learn and what she doesn't. Preschool in Michigan didn't test out of level either. That was the class I was in. They didn't bother telling a mother her child had autistic tendencies. That is the school system for you and some of them are just not worth the trouble. Good luck in the hunt to find someone to help with Faith.

I like your energy.

It is hard to know when our kids will start high school or be earning that diploma. It sounds like you are on the ball thinking about the future.

For some reason your latest posts haven't appeared on my google reader so I'm late in responding. Sorry!

I'm sorry the school thing didn't work out. I know you had hopes for it, and I know homeschooling isn't the 100% perfect ideal situation for Grace in some ways. But with such dedication and thought as you have, I'm sure you can make it great. You have done, so far.

Welcome back to the fold ;-)

PS, good for Grace being honest about her experience in the school!

Patience :-)
