Monday in the Field

Grace and I went hunting for butterflies on Monday, and were sadly disappionted by the lack in the field near our home. It is a Nature Concervancy property and left in its' natural state all year long. There are SUPPOSED to be butterflies there, but there aren't very many at all. We learned last year at teh Bronx Zoo that they are becoming endangered in NY, and now I believe it.
Grace's favorite book seres lately is a ablut a Ranger, and he is an expert at bleding in to his natural surroundings...hence the camo outfit! I think it worked pretty well!

Grace took the time to creat a sketch of a Maple Seed pair while in a tree, and I just soaked in the sunshine!

I love Her outfit! It looks like a feminine form of camo from my end, especially the hat. And she did a great job drawing the seed.

It sounds like a beautiful day.

Lovely day, sorry there were no butterflies. Our yard has been fairly teaming with them.
